The Notre Dame football team is a staple of fall TV coverage. The program has grown to become a cultural touchstone, one that can bring the nation together.
Out of all the college football teams in the country, there are few programs that have as much institutional history if not success than Notre Dame. This makes it easy to understand why grown men place so much faith in what these 19-year-old boys can provide them with; satisfaction and validation.
College is usually seen as a time for some young person to find themselves and yet there are many grown men who find themselves through college football players on Saturday afternoons.
Now, why do so many of us put so much faith in these college aged guys? We won’t trust our neighbor but put faith in a bunch of 20 year olds to bring us joy! It is so crazy to think about!
